Montreal-Toronto Express: Jewish Culture and Literature North of the Border
A 3 Part Series PRESENTED BY DR. PETER SCHULMAN, Professor of French and International Studies at ODU
The United Jewish Federation of Tidewater and Simon Family JCC’s Lee and Bernard Jaffe Family Jewish Book Festival, in collaboration with Old Dominion University’s Department of World Languages and Cultures as part of a fellowship with the Canadian Association of Jewish Scholars and the Vered Center of Jewish Studies at the University of Ottawa presents an exciting 3-part series on Canadian literature and poetry.
Melanie Loisel, a former Radio-Canada reporter, will be joined in conversation with Dr. Herman Tesler-Mabe, Coordinator of the Vered Jewish Canadian Studies Program as they discuss her astonishing book about Holocaust survivor Martin Gay. She will also touch upon her other works that include moving stories of heroic Jewish figures of our era.
