Artist Yuki Hiyama was born on December 17, 1977 in Hiroshima, Japan. Unable to speak due to a brain inquiry at birth, she discovered painting as a child and continues making art today.
Ms. Hiyama uses oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pen, pencil, oil stick, pastel, and sand to create works full of color and texture, at times resembling Japanese Hiragana and Kanji characters as well as bodies, faces, and numerals.
